I have bought this van and the speedo was not working, it is stuck at 15 mph at all times...does this mean its knackered? I undid the two screws expecting to see a cable !! Wrong!! no cable, it appears to be an electronic gizmo something i have no idea about.... but the fact that it registeres 15mph seems to me could be an indication its broke as i would expect it to be at zero if it was just an electrical fault?? is there any method of testing this part?
Many thanks for any help you can give JD
Thanks Chris I found the Brown wire was not connected to earth ! Speedo is a bit sticky but at least it is working now, and the digital clock ! Cheers Chris ! Any tips for a sticky speedo needle ? Tapping the screen helps it along a bit : )

Did you take a good look at the stop for the Speedo hand? Ives obviously doesn't think you need to know your speed below 15 ... Check your Earth on the Battery clamp Should be a thin Brown Wire connected,

Hi, I have a similar problem with my Speedo (and tachometer, both stuck at zero and sometimes randomly work for a few seconds). This is on a 1991 Iveco 2.5 Turbodaily Motorhome.
Did you manage to fix yours by any chance?
