Larder fridge freezing up food - whats wrong?

Hotpoint larder fridge freezing food and humming all the time. About 5 years old. What can I do?

I had the same problem recently and i had replaced the thermostat but it didn't work.. I had someone check it and now it is leaking gas.. Just had to replace it and it to was also a hotpoint larder fridge aged around the same.. Things are not made like they used to be..
