Mend Schreiber 2004027396 Fridge Freezer Thermostat

Schreiber Integrated Fridge with Freezer Compartment?

Just bought a new house which has a Schreiber integrated fridge with freezer compartment. Unfortunately there was no manual but I didn't see this as a problem. Fridge is model number 2004027396 and my problem is that I dont know what number the dial should be set at for the freezer compartment to be frozen and the fridge to be normal. At the moment freezer seems to be normal fridge is freezing everything. Don't know if appliance was used by previous owners. It was left to run a while before food was added. Moving the dial between 0 and 5 doesn't seem to be making much difference although I may not be giving it enough time. Do I need a new thermostat or new fridge? Please help me as we have wasted quite a lot of food because of this.

APM6852 - 50:50 fridge freezer....where is the freezer control knob? I inherited this appliance in recently bought
apartment BUT the freezer is all iced up.
No picture in manual as to where the knob is sited .

i have just had this problem and rang the agent/technichian whose number was on my manual and the solution is
turn off the appliance
completely empty the appliance
leave with doors open for 48 hours
then switch on and keep the doors closed for 8 hours (if appliance beeps press the s button).
after the 8 hours reset the dials to what you usually have them at.
i did this and everything is working as normal - so much better than having to get a new appliance!!! i know this may sound daft but it works. sorry i haven't got the phone number to hand if you need it leave a message and i'll get back to you.

I thought my fridge was broken, so to test it I put a hot cup of tea inside....... it was cold after about an hour, so mine 'must' still be working right ?!?!?

I have a schreiber fridge freezer which is only 2 years old and was working ok. The freezer is working but the fridge is not working now/not getting cold but the light is on, The manual does not offer any help for this, my fidge setting is on H , Please can someone help?

I Have a schreiber fridge freezer which was working ok untill we had a power cut, since then the freezer is working but the fridge is not getting cold but the light is on, I also just moved in and have no manual, my fidge setting is on H , Please can someone help?
