How do I replace the black knob on the gear shifter?

The black plastic knob you push to shift the car from park to drive or reverse fell out. The car is a Pontiac Bonneville 2004. Can I buy a replacement black knob at the local automotive store and do you have replacement instructions?

try your local store for replacement, if you feel around the broken knob, you should find a small grub screw, undo this and lift off.
