Mend Indesit W143S Washing Machine Drain Filter

my indesit w143s wont drain ?

it wont drain and therefore ends there on the cycle - have drained it manually by the black thing at the bottom - but i cant pull this bit out to check for clogs - should it come out?

Indesit Indesit W143S Household Appliances, Washing Machines Washing Machine Drain Filter

You have a drain filter at the bottom . unscrew the filter and it should pull out , but do not force it. If it will not let you remove the filter ,remove plug from electricity then turn hot and cold water off I would then remove the whole pump and service it out of the m/c.
