Mend Problem Turning Hot

how can I fix my cylinder bagless vacuum cleaner? ?

how can I fix this problem on my vacuum cleaner? It keeps turning itself off after about 2 minutes and feels very hot so I think it may be over heating. I have cleaned all filters and checked for blockages. Only had it about 2 months so dont really want to have to replace it. thanks xxx
