Mend Partner Calibri II Strimmer Petrol Engine

How can I fix a cord to my petrol Partner Calibri II strimmer?

Hope you can help. I have pulled the cord out of my strimmer which has a 25cc engine. I have taken it apart but there doesn't seem to be an obvious place for the knotted end of the cord to go. The plastic pulley which takes the cord has two holes in it and notches in the edge.

Most of these machines do not have a knot in the end of the cord, it wrapped aroung the pulley and into a small channel in the pulley, there was then a small self tapping screw to hold it all down.
