Mend McCulloch MT300x Mcculloch Strimmer Petrol

Just bought 2nd hand Mculloch MT300x petrol strimmer but head doesnt turn ?

Just bought 2nd hand Mculloch MT300x petrol grass strimmer but head doesnt turn quick enough to cut the grass, is there something easy i can do to repair this ? The engine works fine but just doesnt seem to move the head quick enough...

The inner drive shaft has squares on either end, if they have worn on either the shaft or the drum it will slip and not drive.
