my sony triniton KV-29F1U tv keeps flashing on and off?

my sony triniton KV-29F1U tv keeps flashing on and off. every 5 seconds or so it will go to a black screen and then back to normal picture and it keeps doin this over an over again. the sound stays on its just the screen which is the problem can anyone help
