Mend Sony KV-32S45 Picture Black Fine

KV-32S45 35" picture fades out to black?

My 35" Trinitron picture fades to black after a full momentary picture. The sound is fine. There is a flashing continuous red light. The manual says to call for Sony repair tech under these circumstances. What's the problem it's having? This will have to be a house call, it's way too heavy to take in. Cost estimate?

This is a 10 year old TV sounds like the tube is low emmission. Very expensive to replace so not an economical repair
