Mend Peugeot 406 Battery Jump Engine

my stereo wont turn off?

stereo on peugot 406 wont turn off even manually. tried ignition on and off, engine on and off, leaving it hours and trying again. Did it a couple of weeks ago too and only got back to normal after bettery drained and a jump start. Seems to be triggered by listeneing to stereo without engine running.
