Leyland Daf - battery goes flat then engine stops?

I had this problem I have g reg daf - it's prob the wiring to the alternator I had been out in wagon switched it off to unload and went back less than a min later nothing no lights etc had to jump it and have all new wiring done on the alternator

Lift grill undo centre panel and the main feed will probably be corroded

Also make sure all cables are tight ie battery ,starter ,alernator
