Mend Kawasaki ZX10 10 Grinding Noise

kawasaki zx 10 1000 1989 ?

there is a grinding noise wen slowing down after acceleration coming from chain area, the chain looks shiny on top as if catching i have tightened an still the same , any ideas please , it is a 1989 kawasaki zx10 1000 , many thanks

sounds like either the chain needs replacing or the rear sprocket carrier bearing is worn check for side to side play in it.
