Made my oven worse??

I have just carried out a repair to my Hotpoint BD31 double oven (see previous question referring to replacing the grill heat regulator unit). I carried out a step by step replacement for the regulator which I could see had burned out. Having put everything place in place and heaved the oven back in to place I now find that nothing works ie grill, top oven or even the main oven which was fine before I started. There is power as the clock is flashing to be reset. Any ideas please anyone before I go mad?????
