Mend Volkswagen Polo Working Clicking Noise

My 1998 VW polo's indicators and hazard lights arent working or "clicking" ?

I dont get the clicking noise either - nothing wrong with the bulbs, not sure what the problem is. Help!

Thanks Alan, have changed the 2 fuses and got a relay from the scrapyard - now instead of having no indicators/hazards permanently, it seems to be just an intermittent problem. Could I have picked up another faulty relay switch or could it be something else do you think?

could be down to a fuse or relay.. have a look in the fuse box.. hope that helps
