Mend Plymouth Voyager Overheating Radiator Engine

1990 plym voyager overheated,put water in & hose comes off and sprays water?

i was going down the road and engine shut off, we towed it home and the engine started turning but no start. We put water in radiator and turn egnition but hose would come off and water would spray out. New thermastat but no help
