Mend One For All Stopped Working Replaced

my new sky remote has stopped working after 1 day?

I replaced my One For All Sky remote as the old one got destroyed. I programmed it as per the set up instructions and it worked, for one day!
When I went to turn it on the following day, the Sky box wouldn't even turn on, not even when I unplugged it from the mains.
Any ideas?
