Mend Ford KA Ka Footwell

Why is my Ford KA spewing heat from the drivers footwell?

Hi,
I have a 2005 reg Ford KA which everytime i drive it, it belches heat from under the drivers footwell & the air vents, it gets worse if driven at speed, & gets very hot very fast, any advise please
