*1st UNPLUG THE DRYER* The front panel below the door comes off with a firm tug at its top corners. Once inside it is a good opportunity to remove and clean out the dust filter cavity which is in the way of your task a little. The element is on the right side. It has a cover plate and mounting screws best removed by a 1/4" socket (best grip) Mark the wires before detaching and take a picture before disassembly if you think it might help. The inner coil slides out after removing another screw(or 2?). It can be hard to see, but somewhere along its length the coil is usually broken. Again, while you are in there, clean out all the dust you can. It works into your motor and rollers etc, not good. Hope this helps. I am actually online looking for the average price of a new coil for my daughters machine.
**After replacement and reassembly, don't forget to double check to ensure you have everything (wires) hooked back up properly before you plug it back in.**
Good luck!
