Bypassing of filter suppressor safe?

Hi,

I have a candy condenser dryer I bought secondhand a while back, the suppressor capacitor fited to the plug wires inside it blew (Loud bang and tripped MCB each time it was switched on afterwards), I read and tried out a quick fix here which invlved bypassing the suppressor into a 3-way connector block and putting in new earth from connector block to machine casing, I really need the machine and am wondering is it safe to run while bypassed until I get new suppressor??
