Mend Zanussi 2420 Dishwasher Blockage Water

How can I fix my Zanussi 2420 - fill no wash?

I have a Zanussi 2420 table top dishwasher. When it is turned on (any setting) it fills with water in the base of the dishwasher very slowly and after about 2-3 mins it empties showing cycle complete. The cycle ended light is flashing with a 3 second pause which is supposed to mean a water supply problem but we definitely have water going in (pipe also checked for blockages, kinks, etc)
