weedwacker wont start?

i have a craftsman gasoline weedwacker that wont start. first, it dies while trimming. i replaced the sparkplug, cleaned the air filter, checked all hoses. now it won't start. I need some help, before buying a new one. this unit is only 1-1/2 year old. thanks.
