Will not run unless gas is sprayed in carb. why?

Craftsman 32cc bushwhacker? I rebuilt the carb.
complety ,double checkall lines also replaced all lines,
will not run unless gas in sprayed on carb.
also new filter . I know i am missing something ,,, I have repaired small engines for 50 years . i'm 76
so alot has passed from memory. any suggestion will be welcome

I suggest you have an air leak on one of the gaskets.sometime there is hair line fracture in one of the spacers.
I also had similar problem, cleaned out carb and refitted new gaskets changed oil mix to correct mixture with fresh petrol which on mine is 40/1 and it worked fine.
try it you never know
