window air conditioner?

I purchased an air condition that is too small for my window. The window curtin panels do not reach out to each side of the window. Is there any way to purchase a kit or something to extend the curtin panels. I really don't want to have to take the unit back to the store.

i think they do sell extenders,if not put something the same size as the a/c beside it.slide the a/c to one side.cut the panel to fill the gap on the other side.once you get the space filled then use duct tape to seal the leftover gaps.may not look pretty,but it will save you from buying another a/c.
