initially it should get cold .that is the only really to tell if it working ,the electic is usually ok turn the nob to the setting you require making sure the toggle switch is in the correct position (pushed in where the plug symble is ,the + and - sign are for the 12 volt system )the gas side is a bit more tricky as the fridge must be level or the gas gets temprementle ,to light gas make sure the voltage selector is in the off position ie in the central possition turn gas nob to nos 5 for 5 seconds hold the nob in still pressing nob push piezo ignitor serveral times in quick succsesion (a click should be heard each time)hold in nob for another 15 seconds and you shold be able to see a flame at the bottom left hand corner of the fridge at the back enjoy your caravaning les .

You should have details in your Caravan User Handbook. However, sounds like not supplied so:-

Electricity Operation (fairly straight forward):-

- Set Gas control knob to 0 or OFF.

- Set Voltage Selector knob to required voltage either 12V for car or caravan battery (DC) or 220/240V for Mains (AC). (On mine far top right paddle switch with 3 settings:- 12V, 0 or OFF and 220/240V).

- When used on Mains electricity the fridge is thermostatically controlled. Thermostatic knob (has settings '1' to '7') should be set around '3' or '4' according to handbook, but depends how cool you want fridge to be.

- On 12V battery fridge is not thermostatically controlled.

Gas Operation (less straight forward):-

- Check voltage selector is set to '0' or OFF (on mine far top right paddle switch with 3 settings:- 12V, 0 or OFF and 220/240V).

- Ensure gas supply fitted and available.

- Turn gas control knob to '3' and fully depress same knob for 5 seconds (longer after changing gas cylinder) to clear air from pipe line.

- Still depressing gas control knob, push in Piezo igniter button several times in quick succession (a click will be heard each time igniter is pushed in).

- Continue to depress gas control knob for a further 15 seconds after burner is alight to allow thermocouple to warm up, then release gas control knob and set to '1', '2' or '3' depending how cool you require fridge to be.

- Note, check burner is alight by looking through flame viewer which is covered by a small circular glass (about size of a 2p) at the bottom left hand corner of fridge, but inside fridge itself.

- Repeat procedure if burner fails to light or goes out.
