Mend Indesit Dryer Belt Motor

is the large drum suppose to sit on the small motor at the bottom?

just put a new belt on my indiset dryer, it works but is very noisy, is the actual large drum supposed to sit on the small turning bit at the bottom or is there supposed to be a gap

Indesit Household Appliances, Tumble Dryers Dryer Belt Motor

You would have had to loosen the motor to replace the belt(you did didn't you)loosen again and swing the motor(small pulley)away from the drum and it will tighten the belt up,so there will be clearance between the pulley and drum,then tighten the motor back up again.
