can i change 3 port valve easily?

i need to change 3 port valve, dont want to draind down, do i place first bung on open vent then the other inside the f&e tank at the outlet.

Cap the open vent but no need on the tank outlet, if you close the pump valves this should cause an airlock enough to change it over
