immobiliser peugeot 406?

Thanks for that but got rid of the car as it would have been to expensive to sort out. The starting was one of many problems. Once again thanks for your reply

you r in luck ! i had the same car today with the same problem !! i have had it in the peugeot garage and i have replaced these items , new key. key transponder aerial. com 2000 unit and Bsi unit to be told it was nither of these things !! eventualy
they looked under the drivers side carpet below the pedals and the problem was there .. Water had been getting in and the wire loom below the carpet was kaput with being in water for a while . it was going to cost me a furthe 600.pounds to sort ! i just changed the car . please check below the carpet ? and i hope this helps you
