Mend AEG 80800 Power Button Lights

My AEG Favorit 80800 will not switch on what could be the problem?

My AEG Favorit 80800 will not switch on. When the power button is pressed nothing happens, no lights are lit and no error messages are displayed absolutely nothing. It seems that the dishwasher has died completely. I have done all the basic checks, like changing the fuse in the dishwashers plug and checking that the plug wall socket is live. Still nothing.

Is there anyone that can suggest something that I could do to try and diagnose the problem. I am hoping its not an electical fault as I umderstand that replacing the main sensor board can be pretty expensive.

On the main control PCB inside the top of the door, there's a small round black fuse (which may be covered in resin). I suspect this has blown: replacements can be found on eBay.

This may get the machine powering up again but it's probable that you'll now see the error code on this display.

if the on/off switch is part of the main pcb then you have no choice but to replace the pcb or attempt to repair the switch on there!
