Fisher and Paykel DW918TD won't start!?

Have just moved into a house with a F&P DW918TD.
(Full model no is 87426918TD Fisher and Paykel Soft Touch) Tried to turn on the power button. Machine emits a series of short beeps but no start. No control lights lit at all. Have tried all the trouble shooting tips. No joy. Nothing appears in the time remaining display.

Door is not closed or if it is then the door catch is not operating the door closed microswitch or a wire has come off the door microswitch.
