Mend Glowworm 30ci Combi Pressure Hot Water

f9 flashing on combi boiler 30ci glowworm ?

the light flashes red intermittantly. the pressure is ok at 1.2 bar . we have CH . when the water is on it is either luke warm at eco setting or boiling hot. or not at all. please advise on what the fault is as concerned we are being advised wrongly .and being pushed into having an expensive repair and new motor /pump unit.

This can be caused by the hot water thermostat, you need to read the manual to see its location
