heating not working on a combi boiler is it still safe to use water?

ok, I bled my rads today and the pressure on the boiler went low. I went to top up the boiler via the filling loop but nothing happened. Eventually the knob on the filling loop broke off and the pressure on my boiler is below.5 as it is a combi, can I still use the hot water safely until I can get it fixed?
