Mend Sunbeam 3056 Steam Iron Not Working

steam iron not working?

My sunbeam 3056 auto shut off steam iron will not come one. Light is on, but no one is at home in my iron. i would take it apart if I could find a screw. The housing covers all the screws. Where do I start to get it apart to work on it. I have tried all the tricks that have been suggested to get it to work and none of them are helping.

No point in taking it apart, as there is nothing in there you can replace, they don't make spares for irons nowadays, so its time to buy a new one. No point in spending out on a super dooper iron as they all end up in the bin when they go kaput.
