Hi All, Before we start you will be messing with live electrics !(240 volts)! Right I think I have found the problem to the humming noise and tv not turning on, I took the front panel off the tv the one next to where you replace the bulb and turned the tv on, then the humming started so with a hard plastic tube (dont use metal live electrics) I tapped the colour wheel a few times and it started, now fully working again. PLEASE NOTE; YOU ARE MESSING WITH LIVE ELECTRICS HERE !(240 VOLTS)! DONT PUT YOUR HANDS INSIDE. If it still wont start maybe you need a new colour unit! but im only guessing. Hope this works for you and good luck. The colour wheel is what joins on to the side of the housing were you put the new bulb in. AGAIN BE CAREFULL 240 VOLTS.
