ADE Compact optima reset (6zone)?

Hey all,

Ive just moved into a new house with a ADE Optima Compnact 6zone alarm, unfortunately it hasnt been used for years and the previous owners didnt know what the codes were or how it worked.

Ive been trying to get it working for days and followed a response to a thead on here with no avail. Basically everytime i turn it on i get a alarm tone from the unit and no matter how many times i read the instructions it wont let me type any code in to stop it.

Ive tried turning it off removing the batt and running a wire from set to the left tamp terminal, i then put everything back how it was but still i have the same trouble.... pleaseeeee could someone help me! it would be a shame to throw it away. Is there anything else i could try that i dont know about
