My cleaner trips the electric when i turn it on?

Hi i have a bissell cleaner i bought 3 years ago from ARGOS Newcastle, used it 3 times and now it trips the electric every time i switch it on, it sounds like it is shorting out some where can you help, or can you give me a local repair Person near me
