Mend Rover 45 Car Clutch

Humming Noise With Rover 45?

Hi there.
I have a Rover 45. As I put the car into reverse its making a humming noise, more so when I put the clutch up.
It has reverse sensors and done a test on them and they are ok.
Does anyone know what this problem could be.
