bosch classixx drainage problem?

My machine will not spin and drain.

I have read some of the solutions to this problem online and have followed the following steps:

- remove front cap and manually drain the machine
- lay the machine on the side , disconnect the hose from the pump and blow down it (found it was initially blocked but now there is free flow of air)

After performing these steps the machine will still not get past the spin cycle or drain. Am i out of the realms of diy fixing??
