Faulty Indesit fridge/freezer?

After moving my fridge/freezer to another house trying not to tilt as much as possible and leaving it to stand for a few hours. The compressor comes on than reverts to a low hum a second later. The fridge or freezer is not going cold at all, Could anyone please advise me on possible cause. Thankyou.

have you checked the heat-sink,it is inside the cover on side of compressor,it's 2 bio-metal strips in a round plastic cover which bend at different temps,maybe a little water got on it ,then powered up it pop,t it? unplug take it out a smell if burnt? only about £9.GOOD LUCK
