fridge is too cold?

I have an Indesit c139s fridge freezer 4 years old and the fridge is freezing everything in there even when the thermostat is on 1. No noise from compressor has it gone??

Think about your question. If the compressor has gone and is not running then how can the fridge get cold? If it is too cold then the answer is the opposite. It is running too long & not switching off when the correct temperature is reached. Change the regulating thermostat.
