Mend Sears 917.37841 Change Checked Fine

How do I change the belt on my Sears 917.37841 self propelled mower?

I checked the gears on the wheels and they are fine, but the self propelled is still hard to push thru the grass, wheels slowly turn and sometimes stop

You seem to be missing a number. To replace the belt on most- put the belt over the crankshaft pulley first and feed to trans and slip on be sure spring tension is good if this is and older unit. Be sure to remove the spark plug wire whilest working on your mower...
