PULL CORD?

Switch the power off
Disconnect the switch
If the wall is drylined, pull the cable up into the ceiling from the loft, if not cut it where it goes down into the wall
Drill a hole in the ceiling next to the joist where you want the switch
Pull the cable down through the hole you have just drilled
Thread the cable into the rose for the pull switch and screw the rose into the joist
Connect the switch and put the cover back on
Switch the power back on.
