how can i fix my fiat punto mk2 cooling system?

i have cold heaters and only have steam coming from the bleed nipple is this a air lock help needed

from cold undo the exspansion tank cap now on the top right hand side of the rad undo the white bleed scew and undo the bleed screw on the heater hoses now fill the tank until fluid comes out of both and close them replace tank cap and start engine undo heater bleed sceew until water level in exspantion tank is on the top line that should do it

is it losing coolant? if so, head gaskets blown. i had similiar problem traced it to a blown head gasket, common fault with puntos, number 4 cylinder (approx. 55000 mile). DIY yourself for £100 if you can and thats including the head skimmed. good luck
