Buzzing Noise on DVD Player?

Look over the cables running from the DVD player to the television. If the cables are not inserted correctly, the audio is going to scrap and crackle. Inserting the cable completely can fix this issue.

Eject the DVD from the disc drive. Look on the bottom side of the DVD. If there are fingerprints, dust and other debris, the DVD is not going to play correctly. Wipe down the DVD with a damp cloth to remove the debris, causing the disc to skip.

Spray a few shots of compressed air into the open DVD drive. If the DVD is still causing a scraping noise, it is due to the interior of the DVD drive being dirty. Spraying the compressed air removes the dust stuck to the DVD lens, causing the hardware to create the offsetting noise.
