How can I fix my CD player from shaking?

I have a Panasonic SL-SX430 MP3/CD discman and I just got it last December, I let my friend listen to a song I was playing and she dropped it! It's not smashed up or anything and the actual things turns on and works but as soon as I turn it on the thing inside that the lens (eye) is connected to starts shaking back and forth making this obnoxious clicking noise. It also doesn't turn off until I've pressed the off button more than three times! My friend offered to pay for a new one or get it fixed but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice that would save her money and me hassle. I also want to know if I really need to get a professional to fix it.
