Samsung Er 650 register wont open?

After I ring out a item and sub total. the cash button wont work it just beeps and says
REQ. E/T/D func.

I have never seen this error before. It sounds like this register may be looking for an EFT terminal. Do you have it connected to a debit/credit card processing machine? Also, does it happen if you pay for a sale with another payment button, check, credit etc?
