Mend Simpson Encore 605 Machine Agitator

How can I clean my simpson encore 605 6.0kg heavy duty washing machine?

The agitator column has collected dirt within the column which has started to leak out into the laundry. i would like to know if there is a way the column can be successfully removed for cleaning and then replaced?

Sure, the cap where you put the softner in comes off under that is the filter which you ease out attached to the bottom is a bag which capture the lint etc wash it all out and put back together again-all done

The agitator is held in place by a 10mm hex head bolt in centre of agitator. Look down the tube after removing the lint filter. You need a ratchet with a long extension & a 10mm socket. Undo bolt & pull agitator up & out.
