Mend Electra Blockage Pump Spin

Machine stops mid cycle, does not empty of spin?

My Electra washing machine has stopped working mid cycle it will not spin or empty. I have checked the filter and the hose at the back for blockages. I have also checked the pump and the black hose leading from the drum to the pump and no obvious blockages.
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
