I have a dripping Franke mixer tap. I have removed the retaining screw ?

Having removed the retaining screw to both hot and cold taps I am unable to remove the tap covers to get to the spindle to replace the washers. Has anyone got any ideas pse? I don't want to use brute force as the covers are plastic!

I went to South Services as recommended, I also printed off instructions on how to replace the o rings, has worked a treat.

They specialise in Franke products and under their 'Identitfy your tap' section they show all the Franke models. When you have selected yours and clicked it you will get a schematic diagram showing how it dismantles and also a list of spare parts available.
