The key to disassembly is the light housing on the top of the power head. Squeeze the ends to remove the cover and reveal two screws holding the bottom assembly. Remove the screws and pull apart the assembly,this gives you access to the belt. If the belt does not need replacing you should inspect the wiring at the power head switch it would only take one wire to become disengaged to cause the beater roller to be inoperative.
